Heavy Duty and Dangerous Goods Packaging

John Randel (Formally of BAE Systems) is now working with Hemsley Solutions as a Senior Associate Consultant with special responsibility for heavy duty and dangerous goods packaging (Both civil and defence applications). Working with engineering companies and suppliers to the defence industries we are able to offer advice and guidance to not only packaging design and logistics but also the minefield that has to be negotiated to allow compliant supply to this sector.

John is one of only a few qualified Dangerous Goods Safety Advisors in the country. DGSA Certificate No. 2818980110804. This allows John to act as a Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor for undertakings which pack and transport dangerous goods and which carry out related loading or unloading of dangerous goods, and advise on MoD requirments.  

We are now able to work with clients:

• Ensuring smooth progression of work on packaging development projects in a safe and efficient manner.
• Production and review of Project Documentation including Design Specifications.
• Continual review and control of the workload
• Working to budget, timescales and reporting on the same
• Assignment of responsibilities and tasks to personnel involved in the project.
• Application to the relevant competent authorities for the classification of explosives and the Certification of packaging
