How “well” is your packaging? It seems a strange question, but is it? Is your packaging healthy for your business, is it healthy for the environment, and is it healthy for sustainability? Packaging does many different things for you. It holds, protects, transports and advertises your product. But what does it say about your business? In other words, IS YOUR PACKAGING FIT FOR PURPOSE?

In a packaging health checkup we look at all aspects of your packaging, starting with costs. Is what you are currently using the most ‘cost efficient’ way of packaging your goods? This does not mean is it the cheapest. We know of one well known on-line wine merchant who bought his packaging down to a price, but was suffering 15% breakages in customer delivery. This it turned out was very expensive packaging! Worse still it used Polyurethane foam which many customers disliked.

Are you using virgin materials when recycled would work as well. Is your packaging recyclable? European legislation means if it is not, it will cost you more.
